OMG, so...my story, "Space Between the Stars" was just accepted for the Space Opera edition of Penumbra.

First pro payment ever.  Heart is fluttering hard.  Can't really believe it, but super happy.  (And in the same zine a prisoner__24601, which is freaking amazing.  Someday the same issue, Pris...someday.)

So, this morning I went out to find my car coated in ice. Coated isn't really the right term.  It looked like the thing had had a pool dumped on it, then was flash frozen. There was about a half inch of ice coating the whole thing, with icicles hanging off the bottom, mirrors, and handles ( Read more... )

So I am now in Poland (Katowice).  It's one of the larger cities in Poland, quite nice, really.  It's kind of interesting in that the city is in the middle of renovation.  (The Poles appears to be knocking down all the old Soviet buildings and putting up new ones.
